Wanganui Arts Society's annual members' exhibition is so popular that they have decided to extend this year's exhibition.
The exhibition opened at Cooks Gallery on October 10 and will run until November 29.
Organiser Barbara Vine said the members' exhibition usually ran for the month of November, but this year it had been extended into October.
She said the exhibition was made up of works from 20 artists, all members of the Wanganui Arts Society. Landscape is a popular subject choice for the exhibition, although there's also abstract and portraits in a variety of mediums.
Some of the work was new, while some of it was part of an exhibition exchange with the Taumarunui Arts Society.
During September, work from the Wanganui Arts Society was displayed in Taumarunui; while Taumarunui artists' work was displayed at Cooks Gallery.
"The exhibition we had here was very popular, but our exhibition in Taumarunui was a bit quieter because there wasn't much promotion done for it," Ms Vine said.
Cooks Gallery is located on Trafalgar Place, off Ridgway St. Opening times are Saturday 10am to 3pm, Sundays 1 - 3 pm.Mondays & Tuesdays 10am to Noon.
