THE first Whanganui Latin America and Spain Film Festival was such a success that its organisers plan to bring it back next year.
Organisers Queralt Scott, Antonio Salas, Beverly Stuart and Andrea Gardner were absolutely delighted by the film festival, which ran from August 21-September 13 at the Davis Lecture Theatre.
"There were more than 50 people at each movie. We had a lot of support from the local Latino community but there were many other people as well," Ms Scott said.
"Everyone was so supportive."
More than 250 people attended the film festival opening night at Sarjeant On The Quay, which was attended by Wanganui Mayor Annette Main, and the Chilean and Brazilian ambassadors to New Zealand.
