Stratford residents will soon have the opportunity to have their say on the sale of alcohol.
Submissions will be accepted from March 12 on the local alcohol policy proposal that was accepted by councillors at the Stratford District Council Policy Committee meeting on February 25.
While the policy was accepted by the council, the proposed sale times of alcohol created some controversy.
Cr John Sandford questioned the 10am start time of liquor sales for a wholesaler.
He said that in all the statistics provided nothing indicated that alcohol-related incidents happened in the early hours of the morning and therefore a 10am restriction was unnecessary.
