All Black Aaron Smith is not the first high-profile sportsperson in New Zealand to have had their romantic experiences in a toilet cubicle publicised.
It was revealed this morning the 27-year-old halfback had an encounter with a female at a Christchurch Airport toilet the day after the test against the Springboks in Christchurch three weeks ago. Witnesses say there was no question what the pair were up to and Smith has since left the All Blacks squad in South Africa to return to New Zealand.
His indiscretion comes more than years after Sonny Bill Williams was caught red-handed for a similar act in a Sydney hotel in 2007.
Williams, then playing in the NRL for the Bulldogs, was captured on a mobile phone image having a drunken sexual liaison with Australian professional ironwoman Candice Warner (née Falzon) in a toilet cubicle at the Clovelly Hotel following a Bulldogs victory over the Rabbitohs.
Williams, then aged 21, was in a relationship at the time of the tryst, dating fellow Kiwi Genna Shaw. This in itself generated huge embarrassment for the cross-code star, who reportedly bought up copies of newspapers within his area in an attempt to prevent her from hearing of the incident.
Warner, then aged 22, was single at the time, but has since married Australian cricketer David Warner following an of array of relationships with former high-profile sportspeople from across the Tasman, varying from former Wallabies halfback Matt Henjak, to former rugby league star Braith Anasta and former Socceroo David Carney.

Williams has been at the centre of public attention throughout his career and, since switching to rugby union and converting to Islam in 2008, has largely been painted as a model professional on and off the field.
He has won two Rugby World Cups, an NRL Premiership, a Super Rugby title, participated in this year's Olympic Games, and was named as the RLIF International Player of the Year in 2013.Off the field, the 31-year-old has become an ambassador for Unicef, raising awareness for Syrian refugee children, and also becoming a husband and a father, marrying up-and-coming model Alana Raffie in 2013 and welcoming the arrival of his first child Imaan in 2014.
He was, though, at the centre of allegations Kiwis players mixed sleeping pills and energy drinks that then-coach Stephen Kearney said compromised their 2013 World Cup campaign.
Smith has been involved in many high-profile off-field incidents prior to the most recent revelation, including a one-night stand with former stripper Lisa Lewis while Smith was in a relationship with then girlfriend Hannah Whitefield, and Smith's infamous nude photo that went viral on social media.
With the compilation of likely public backlash, the possibility of losing his starting role in the All Blacks side to the in-form TJ Perenara and the potential deterioration of his relationship with current girlfriend Teagan Vojkovich, he would do worse than to use Williams' career revival as a template to help put his career back
Aaron Smith's relationship history
Dec 2015 - present: Teagan Voykovich
Aaron Smith and Teagan Voykovich made their relationship public on the red carpet at the New Zealand Rugby Awards in December last year.
Voykovich, who works for fitness company Tika Training, was in London for the Rugby World Cup - thought it's uncertain how the pair met.
According to Spy, three weeks before they hit the red carpet at the rugby awards Voykovich had posted a picture of them in front of a helicopter saying: "Happy birthday, kiss love heart" to Smith.
Early 2014: Lisa Lewis
A Hamilton woman with whom he had a one-night stand with in 2014 after the pair had spent some time communicating virtually through phone-calls and online interactions.
Lewis told the Herald she hadn't been aware of Smith's relationship with Hannah Whitefield and when she informed his then girlfriend of the affair.
She then broke off further contact with the All Black.
2012 - April 2014: Hannah Whitefield
Hannah Whitefield was Smith's girlfriend until his one-night stand with Lisa Lewis in early 2014.
The Dunedin woman, in her mid-twenties, met Smith at a game she was cheerleading at. Their relationship got underway after the All Black messaged to ask her out.
However, their relationship came to an end in 2014, when the news of Smith's affair with Lisa Lewis, an escort and one-time Hamilton mayoral candidate came to light.
When Whitefield spoke out about her broken relationship back in 2014, she said she was "devastated".
It is believed Whitefield, left New Zealand earlier this year and is living somewhere overseas.
