Hunter rescued after falling down bank near Taupo

A pig hunter who called emergency services after falling down a bank has been rescued.

The 35-year-old has been flown to Rotorua Hospital by helicopter with back and abdominal injuries.

The man called emergency services to say he'd fallen down a 25m bank at Marotiri.

His dogs had also disappeared.

LandSar volunteers battled thick bush and rough terrain to help find the man.
