Wellingtonians have been given the all-clear to go back into the water after sewage leaked into the harbour earlier this week.
After two days of clear samples from water-quality tests in the Whairepo-Frank Kitts Lagoon, Wellington City Council will take its warning signs down today.
A council spokesman said the spill was the result of a break in a wastewater main on nearby Victoria St on Wednesday, which was repaired that evening.
Diluted sewage was let into the harbour through storm water system to ease pressure on the main.
The latest tests indicated that any effects following the spill had receded.
