A seven-year-old is stuck in a tree at Favona Primary School in South Auckland.

Fire services arrived to free the child after receiving a call just before 1.30 this afternoon saying their leg had become wedged in the tree.

An ambulance was en route to the school at quarter to two, fire services said, to treat the child for minor injuries.
