Children uninjured after school bus collides with truck

Children on a school bus that collided with a freight truck in rural North Canterbury today have escaped without injury.

The bus was travelling on Broxton Rd, near Culverden, when the incident happened about 3.45pm.

There were no injuries to the six children on board or to the driver, police say.

Emergency services were called but stood down shortly after.
