Power has been cut to a number of Wanganui district homes and businesses this afternoon.
No reason has been given for the outages in Aramoho, Ohakune, Raetihi, Horopito, Pipiriki, Jerusalem and the River Road and Brunswick, but Powerco said electricity may not be restored to some areas until 6pm.
