Japanese police have found the body of Craig Mowat, one of three New Zealand snowboarders buried in an avalanche near Nagano in February.
Mr Mowat, aged 25, of Wanaka, and his companions, Chris Coster, 25, of Auckland, and James Gordon, 18, of Pongaroa in the Wairarapa, were swept away near the village of Hakuba on February 19.
The three snowboarders, employed at local hotels and lodges, were buried in a river valley beyond the Happo-One ridge, site of the 1998 Winter Olympic downhill events.
A Nagano police official said the search would continue for the bodies of Mr Coaster and Mr Gordon.
