It's back to a normal race card at the Hatrick Raceway this evening after last Friday's exciting group racing action.

There's a fair degree of intrigue surrounding tonight's main event, the Keenan Concrete (race 9, 8.20pm), first leg of the quaddie.

It marks the New Zealand debut of the former Queensland chaser Zamdato.

He must be respected as trainer Lisa Ahern has a reputation for producing imported chasers who are ready to strike first up.

On the other hand, his kennelmate Darlyne Ottey is a proven chaser around this circuit.

However, the major concern surrounding her claim here is her known strong railing tendencies; the No7 trap isn't exactly ideal although she may be able to negate that by pinging away smartly at trap rise.

Barry's Way is racing out of class here, however his kind draw plus his ability to put himself into his races from the jump suggests punters can't disregard him.

There is likely to be plenty of support for last Friday's strong lower grade winner Retaliate First.

However, just a note of warning about him as he is a known slow starter who has a tendency of racing out wider on the track. He is also facing a huge rise in class for this assignment.

In the second leg of the quaddie take a look at Bound By Pride.

Although he is poorly drawn, his claims cannot be ignore as he's a former open class sprinter who will rejoin those ranks sooner, rather than later.

Taleedy Trooper has drawn ideally in the ace trap here as he's a known railer.

And the Canterbury sprinter Real Clever was placed in his only previous start on this track, so that merits his inclusion here.

In the third leg, Complicit is a potent sprinter on this track as seen here last Friday. Obviously, he's talented enough to overcome the lousy draw he has been allocated.

Run Lacey Run was attempting to sniff out the early pace last Friday when she had her hind paws clipped which effectively terminated her claims.

In the final leg, Stiff is smart enough to overcome a poor draw while kennelmate Mirage is a proven sprinter at this level who cannot be overlooked.

Enazuma is still coming to terms with the rigours of open class sprinting, however her claims has been enhanced by her drawing the desired No1 trap.
