Aspiring models took the opportunity to learn from the experts at a workshop held at the New Zealand International Commercial Pilot Academy in Whanganui.

Carla Jayne Smith, of Whanganui-based Embrace Model Management, said Saturday's workshop was a huge success with more than 25 people keen to get into modelling turning up.

"They ranged from 13 years right through to 41 years," Smith said.

"It was a fantastic turnout and I am getting bombarded with thank yous from all who attended."

The participants were coached by Jo Mickelborough, of Red11 Model Management, and one of Whanganui's favourite sons, Kerry Trent Ranginui, of Project Runway New Zealand fame. The would-be models were photographed by Paul Maka-Kea as they progressed through the workshop sessions.
