A driver and his passenger who carried 10 children in a trailer on State Highway 3 have been charged with reckless driving.
Last Tuesday another motorist was passed by the vehicle towing a trailer a few kilometres north of Bulls. The trailer was covered by a tarpaulin which flapped opento reveal several children.
The motorist called *555 and the vehicle was later tracked down by Marton police.
Constable Paul Grayson said 10 children between the age of 4 and 16 were found in the trailer. Their mother was in the passenger seat while the driver was another relative.
The pair will appear jointly charged in the Marton District Court on January 16.
