Pak 'n Save is giving cash to three lucky schools - and you get to choose which ones.
The supermarket is running its popular Cash For Schools promotion for the first time in five years.
Everyone who shops at Pak 'n Save can put their shopping receipt in one ofthe bins in the foyer. Each bin is marked with the name of a local school - you choose which school you want to support and put your receipt in their bin.
When the receipts are tallied up in September, the schools with the greatest monetary value of receipts will receive a cash prize.
Tania Taylor from Pak 'n Save said the schools had been divided into three categories based on the size of their rolls. The winner of the large schools category will win $10,000; medium schools $5000; and small schools $2000.
Ms Taylor said 35 primary and intermediate schools were taking part in the promotion.
"It's a way for us to support Wanganui through local schools. People who want to support their school don't have to do anything other than shop at Pak 'n Save, and the schools get to spend the money however they want."
Each school also goes in the weekly draw to win a $150 Pak 'n Save voucher.
