Taihape is heralding the start of spring on Friday with a happy event.
As well as a joyous Daffodil Day, the spring market, a whanau hobby hut and a community BBQ this year is the introduction of a baby animal fair.
The Annual Spring Fling Taihape will include a variety
of community events from Friday until September 7.
Businesses celebrating the Spring Fling will have decorated shop windows with the public invited to choose a favourite and the one they feel looks the most like spring has arrived.
As part of promoting fun and participation in Taihape the planned week of Spring Fling includes a Baby Animal Fair where youngsters can bring along their young pets to take part in fun competitions.
