Space Studio and Gallery Christmas night markets have been extremely popular in past years and this Saturday's twilight event promises to be a beauty, says Sarah Williams.

The gallery owner says all 20 stall spaces are booked and Whanganui artists and crafters will have a spectacular range of goods on offer.

Shoppers can look forward to offerings from David Traub, Cliffside Creations, Emma Cunningham, Stumpies - Wooden Toys, Indigo & Co, Anna Juden Design, Time Out Up-cycled Timber Creations, Debbie Macpherson Independent Arbonne Consultant, Art by Nolan, Zana Lokmer Design, Ivan Vostinar Ceramics, Magpie - Rachael Garland, Dennis Clark and Retro Star Creations in the Taupo Quay carpark.

In the studios above the gallery Montserrat & Co, Locksley Avenue, Bee Wrappable & The Flying Fox, NVW, Ink Inc, Michaela Stoneman & Beck White, Faisons du Fromage, Tulle & Heart, Craig Winton, Talula Hodder Illustration + Design, Ruby & Ella, Birgit Moffatt and Fleur Wickes will display their wares.

Artists in residence Sandy de Kock, Perry Davies and Patrick Drabczynski will be working in their studios and Kirk Nicholls and Yasmin DuPont will be supplying wood-fired pizza to hungry visitors.

The gallery will also be open to view the current exhibition Climb every Mountain with work by Cracked Ink, Mike Marsh and Elijah Lamont.

Terry Sarten has facilitated a bunch of local musicians to provide a live soundtrack.

"Music will be provided by Collin Luttrell and Aydie Holland's ukulele duo, One Trick Pony," says Sarten.

"Ora Hohaia and Leonie Mateo together are a local band, Hauaauru, producing an acoustic, neo-soul sound threaded together with spoken word and Hugh Owen will be playing."
