A man who has been to prison 62 times has added another stay for trying to get into cars on private Wanganui properties.
Robert John Barnes has 133 previous convictions and made it 135 on Tuesday after pleading guilty to two charges of unlawfully interfering with a motor vehicle.
"Essentially he's been wandering around trying car door handles with no success," defence lawyer Jamie Waugh said.
Judge Dugald Matheson said Barnes' convictions covered the "full gamut of criminal law".

He said a prison sentence was "inevitable" due to Barnes' "horrific history".
Barnes was sentenced to two months in prison with no release conditions.
