Guys strip off to support breast cancer campaignA little pink valve cap is playing a big part in the drive to raise funds for the NZ Breast Cancer Foundation - and two Wanganui businesses are showing the way.
Suzuki NZ, which is headquartered in Wanganui, is fitting out its new Swift
SR7 five-door hatchbacks with special pink valve caps to the 17-inch alloy wheels and low-profile Bridgestone tyres.
And fitting the tyres is the job of Wanganui Tyres and Alloys, which fits out all the tyres for Suzuki vehicles before they head to showrooms around the country.
Two years ago the Firestone Pink Cap Drive, initiated by Bridgestone NZ, raised almost $64,000 for the cancer foundation and this year the foundation hopes to raise $200,000 by selling 100,000 pink valve caps.
During October every new owner of a Suzuki Swift SR7 will be making their contribution to the campaign because every vehicle will have the pink caps fitted. And with each cap costing $2, that means Suzuki NZ will be giving $8 to the foundation with every special Swift it sells.
The Swift SR7 is a special edition of the popular little hatch and features the special 17-inch MAK 7 alloy rims and low-profile Bridgestone tyres.
