Save One glass of wine went a long way for a man found to be driving with nearly seven times the legal limit of alcohol in his blood.
Gregory John Morris was pulled over for speeding on Somme Pde in November, the Whanganui District Court heard yesterday.
Police prosecutor Sergeant Stephen
Butler said a blood test found Morris had 342mg of alcohol in his blood. The legal limit is 50mg.
Mr Butler said the reading was equivalent to 1700mcg of alcohol in breath. The legal limit is 250mcg.
Morris told police he'd had one glass of wine before driving.
