Wanganui Lyric Singers attracted a big crowd to Trinity Methodist Church on Saturday for their

Homeward Bound

concert, featuring guest artists from the recent secondary schools' Chamber Music competition.

2 Crochets and a Quaver - Abby Squire and Ahimsha Saravanapaven - treated the audience to two beautiful pieces with piano and voice.

The Buzz Rolls, three Year 10 percussion students, performed 'A Day at the Races', a piece written by their tutor, Michael Franklin-Browne.

Under conductor Joanna Love and accompanist Lisa Boessenkool the choir was in fine voice, performing an afternoon of well chosen music. Paul Brooks captured the event.

Winners of the recent Chamber Music competition, Millennium Trio, performed a particularly difficult piece with ease and flair.
