People unsure about being hypnotised should ease their fears, Upfold said.
"You only do what you want to do - you're not harmed, hurt or embarrassed."
St Johns Hill School PTA chairperson Lucy Trott said other PTA members had previously seen Upfold's shows and highly recommended him.
"He's been very obliging and given us lots of great ideas and ways to sell tickets including having an auction and spot prizes."
Mrs Trott said fundraising will help to improve the school's ability to provide the latest technology to students.
"We're raising money for a thing called a C.O.W. - or computer on wheels. It's a machine where you can keep all your computer tablets in."
The equipment would also help to ease the high cost that comes with new technology, Mrs Trott said. "At the end of the day it's a saving for parents and if you have a class set of tablets, it's a saving for everybody."
The show would also include a charity auction with 10 prizes to be won.
"The local business community has been really giving and we know what the economic climate is like out there - people have been really supportive and helped out," Mrs Trott said.
Tickets are still available for the R18 show for $25 online at eventfinder, or from the front office at St Johns Hill School. The show starts at 7pm.
