Save Whanganui's Hospice Boutique in town was burgled last month, leaving shop workers "disgusted".
Burglars broke into the charity shop on Victoria Ave at the beginning of July, taking money that would otherwise have gone to Hospice Whanganui.
The culprits put a DVD in the sink and covered it with water
before leaving the shop with money from the safe, store manager Leonie said.
"There was stuff all over the floor and the back door had been forced," she said.
A couple hundred dollars were stolen, as well as Leonie's "favourite hammer".
