Mini Golf at Riverland Family Park re-opened last weekend after seven months of negotiations with Whanganui District Council and post-flood clean-up work.
Owner Michael Wilson said he will be donating all the mini golf takings at the weekend to the Wanganui Lions Club towards a fund for future disaster relief.
"The fund is to help people after future disasters like flood, earthquake or fire and it may only be individuals who are affected.
"It would enable Lions to help people out with grocery vouchers or helping them move their belongings - things like that," he said.
Mr Wilson said $636 was raised at the weekend and he hoped it would be more although he realises there were a lot of other events on in Whanganui.
Go karts and kiddi cars at the park will be open in a month or two once the track has been up-graded and health and safety compliance obtained.
Mr Wilson said his long-running dispute with landlord Whanganui District Council and the insurer has now been fully resolved and work has begun on clearing the bumper boat area at Riverland.
The park owner said he and his family would like to thank the community for all its support and interest in the park while it has been closed.
