How much would you pay for Victoria Ave? It could be yours for a mere $5000.
The street is one of 25 sponsored properties in the pink 75th anniversary edition of Monopoly.
The Pink Ribbon Edition of Monopoly is being launched this month to raise money for the New Zealand Breast CancerFoundation.
The popular board game has sold more than 250 million copies, in 106 countries and 40 languages.
The rules remain the same as the original 1935 version where players buy and sell properties, build houses, own hotels and bankrupt other players in a quest to own it all.
Mitre 10 Mega has purchased the Victoria street property on the board, while 24 other companies have purchased the other streets to donate a total of $112,027 to the Breast Cancer Foundation.
Whitcoulls Victoria Avenue manager Heather Mitchell-Anyon said the games had just arrived.
"It will be put out right at the front of our store. I think it's really cool" that Victoria Avenue was included in the properties, she said.
The boards retail for $39.95.
Mainstreet Wanganui operations manager Ritche Minnell said Victoria St Wanganui deserved to be on the Monopoly board. "It's fantastic, anything that promotes our town."
He said said anything that raised money for the NZ Breast Cancer Foundation was a good thing.
