Crews called to late night industrial fire in Ruapehu

Firefighters were called to an industrial fire in Ruapehu on Monday night.

The Ohakune brigade was alerted to the fire at Winstone Pulp International in Tangiwai on State Highway 49 around 11pm.

A small fire was found on arrival, with crews quickly extinguishing it.

They remained on site for another hour to ensure it was fully extinguished and dampen any hot spots.
