One more person has died with Covid-19 in the Whanganui region, according to the Ministry of Health.

There are also a record 20 people in Whanganui Hospital with the virus.

The ministry also reported there were 99 new community cases of Covid-19 in the Whanganui region on Monday.

Nationally, there were 7612 new community cases of Covid-19.

Throughout the country, there were 797 people in hospital with Covid-19.
