According to the Ministry of Health, there were 58 new community cases of Covid-19 in the Whanganui region. Photo / Bevan Conley

The Whanganui region recorded 58 new community cases of Covid-19 today , according to the Ministry of Health.

The ministry also reported three people were in Whanganui Hospital with Covid-19.

Nationally, there were 5630 new community cases and 389 people in hospital.

The ministry also reported the deaths of 17 people with Covid-19.
