Women's Refuge Whanganui is better off to the tune of almost $600, thanks to an enterprising idea from Whanganui Chronicle advertising consultant Christina Forsyth.

Ms Forsyth developed an advertising feature based on the Women's Refuge annual appeal. It appeared in both the Chronicle the Midweek but the key was 15 per cent of the revenue generated from the feature was gifted back to the Whanganui branch.

Yesterday Chronicle commercial manager Alison Hollard (left) and Ms Forsyth (right) handed over a cheque for $596 to Sharyn Gosnell representing Women's Refuge Whanganui.
