Wanganui Collegiate shared the honours with the visiting English school of Millfield in their two rugby clashes on a wet Saturday afternoon.

Collegiate had a deep lineup of 29 players available for the Under 15's game, and won the opening matchup 35-5.

"Our Under 15's would have beaten them by 100 points if we hadn't taken all the stars off at halftime," said WCS director of sport Barry Touzel.

The situation was reversed in the next game, with Millfield beating Collegiate 40-0.

"In the Under 16's, their backline was very strong," said Touzel.

"They have 13 rugby teams [at their school], we have five.

"There was some very good rugby played."
