Wanganui Motorcycle Club's minis and juniors achieved podium finishes when they travelled to the Wellington MX Champs at Himatangi on Sunday.

The event was hosted by the Gold Coast Club on its sand track where Leah Bullock won her 4-8 50cc intro trail class with Tanner Manson finishing 4th.

Isaac Ashworth also won his 6-8 50cc MX class.

Meanwhile, Matthew Bell finished third in the 7-8 65cc class just ahead of his younger brother Michael - who is new to the class - in 6th.

In the 9-11 65cc class Finn Lennox rode to a 6th place finish.

Wanganui also had success in the junior classes with Oliver Dennison finishing 2nd in the 14-16 250cc class while Chase Williamson was 7th in the 8-11 85cc class and Troy Bullock 8th in the 12-16 85cc class.

This the riders will be back at home this weekend in the second round of the Wanganui Motorcycle Club's Harvey Round Motors Isuzu Winter Series.
