Successfully managing the challenge of having three geographically-split stores has seen Helloworld Wanganui celebrating at the recent TAANZ National Travel Industry Awards.

Helloworld Wanganui owners Paul and Sue Robinson also own the Blenheim and Rolleston, Christchurch, Helloworld stores. The Robinsons received the Best retail brand - multi location award at the September 30 ceremony. It recognises the retail agency operating across two or more locations which demonstrates best practice in agency management and service delivery.

Mrs Robinson had to make a presentation to a panel of three judges in August, highlighting the strategic plan, staff development and training initiatives, and future business plan for their stores.

"Having three stores geographically split does hold its challenges but fits with our company philosophy where we work in partnership to serve our local communities with their travel needs," Mrs Robinson said.

"Locally, we have exceptional staff, a strong customer service excellence model for our customers. Helloworld is the only true 100 per cent local franchise model; our customers love that they are buying from locals and that is a key driver for them coming to us.

"We continually monitor customer experience and best practice - we can never be complacent, we are dealing with people's dreams and assisting them in creating amazing memories."

Mrs Robinson dedicated the award to their staff.
