Patea Ward residents are being asked to submit their ideas for new town entrance signs.
South Taranaki District Council (STDC) community development manager Claire Symes says the town's northern entrance way sign was damaged in a storm recently . The Community Board sees an opportunity to ask the community if they would like to keep the existing signs or replace them with a new image that represents Patea.
"The Patea Community Board are inviting residents/artists living in the Patea Ward to send in images they would like to see on the signs, by 27 October," says Ms Symes.
"The images will need to be digital files, 300dpi at the physical output (e.g 2400mm x 1200 mm) in PDF or JPEG format and can be sent to Claire.symes@stdc.govt.nz ," she says.
Patea Community Board will narrow down the entries to four, which will go on display in the Patea LibraryPlus, along with the existing image.
