A Whanganui man could have had his driver licence back in five months but after driving a mate home is now looking at a further six months.
Hayden John Paul Aubrey pleaded guilty to driving while disqualified when he appeared in the Whanganui District Court on Tuesday.
Defence lawyer Richard Leith said Aubrey only drove because it was raining and his mate needed a lift home.
"He is currently working to pay off fines."
Judge Dugald Matheson convicted Aubrey and disqualified his driver licence for a further six months.
