Ruapehu District Council is seeking expressions of interest from people who may want to run a coffee cart by the reserve area and public toilet in Waiouru on SH1.
Since the opening of the new public toilets; which were designed to reflect the look of the army museum, the reserve area around the toilets has become very popular as a rest and picnic area for travellers.

Ms van Orden said long term the council will be developing the reserve area further with the addition of playground equipment which should add to its popularity.
