Examples of employee development within Vetora include a veterinary nurse competency programme, bimonthly events tailored to new-graduate veterinarians, professional development evenings for technical staff, and a governance programme for farmer members.
And since 2007, it has sponsored six team members to complete a postgraduate Diploma in Management Studies at the University of Waikato.
In 2018, it conducted an independently facilitated six-month leadership development programme that was open to any staff member interested in leadership.
The team across Vetora Waikato clinics includes 23 farm vets, 17 small animal vets, seven farm animal tech vets, 26 seasonal farm animal tech vets, 17 small animal nurses, 28 employees working within admin and client care, two in farm animal sales and seven directors.
