Only two teams remain unbeaten in the premier Baywide rugby competition - and they meet today in a top of the table clash.

Barring a draw, either Tauranga Sports or defending champions Te Puke Sports will lose their unblemished record.

They meet at Tauranga Domain today at 2.45pm.

After last week's win at home against Whakarewarewa, Te Puke Sports coach Craig Jeffries said he was looking forward to the game which would be a good gauge for the finals.

"We've got a big one against Tauranga, so that will be huge.

"They're trucking along pretty well so that will be an interesting ding-dong battle again as it always is."

Rotorua-based Whakarewarewa will be looking to bounce back after being outmuscled in the wet by Te Puke last week, with their only other loss coming against competition leaders Tauranga Sports in round two.

They travel to Rangataua today, the only club yet to register a victory this season.
