The prestigious Te Kani Shield will be fought over at Western Heights High School when Aquinas College pay a visit to the Rotorua school.

Aquinas College will take on the undefeated Western Heights 1st XV team during the Bethlehem Coachlines Secondary Schools competition. Aquinas College currently hold the shield, which is the Bay of Plenty secondary schools equivalent of the Ranfurly Shield. It is played for at all games contested by the holder, both home and away.

Aquinas 1st XV captain Callum Hoare will need to lead his team well to combat the tough physical approach of the Western Heights side, who are the favourites. It will be a battle of the backlines, with James Wood of Aquinas College and Brad Munro of Western Heights heading the attack. The match will be at Western Heights High School at 12pm tomorrow.

In other clashes, Te Whare Kura o Mauao School take on Whakatane High School in Tauranga, while Trident High School travel to Otumoetai College, who will want to bounce back after their loss last week to Te Wharekura O Ruatoki. Opotiki College host Bethlehem College.
