Two Rotorua rugby players are being offered a trip of a lifetime to play rugby in Argentina.
Rotorua's Toro Sports Management has arranged scholarships for two male rugby players to play a season with San Martin Rugby Club in Villa Maria, Argentina.
To apply you need to be between 18and 28 and play a good level of rugby here in New Zealand.
The idea of the scholarships is that the two players selected can represent New Zealand culture and values, while playing rugby and learning about Argentinian culture. The scholarships cover all costs while in Argentina, including accommodation, rugby costs and Spanish classes. The applicants will need to cover the plane flights to Argentina as well as a $500 agency fee.
Players interested in applying can submit a cover letter, sports CV with references and preferably a rugby video to gabriel@torosports.co.nz.
Submissions will be accepted until June 10, with the players due to leave around July 10. The scholarships are for the length of the rugby season, but players will have the opportunity to travel afterwards, so will stay in Argentina for four to six months.
