Arsenal did it in the English Premier League, the Miami Dolphins did it in the NFL and now Tauranga Sports is looking to do it in the Baywide rugby premier division.

It is a rare feat in any sport to go an entire season undefeated.

Tauranga Sports has played and won 10 games this season and will look to continue that run into history when they face Whakarewarewa in Rotorua tomorrow.

If history is anything to go by Whaka could force the upset tomorrow, with the club knocking over a strong Mt Maunganui team in Rotorua in 2005 to stop them achieving a perfect season.

Whaka coach Maurice Stone said to achieve the upset his side would need to play outside Tauranga's strengths.

"They are very good at retaining ball and have genuine size on their side. So we will have to try and run them around a bit and hold onto the ball for long periods," he said.

He said his side should be a lot stronger compared to the team which stumbled in a shock loss against Rotoiti last weekend at Emery Park, with some players returning from injury and travel.

Stone said if his side defeated Tauranga tomorrow it would prove to his players they could beat anyone in the competition.

However, he said they would not be giving away "all their cards" during the match.

"We don't want to give away everything now and lose to them if we meet them again in the semis."

In other Baywide premier games tomorrow, Rotoiti travel to Opotiki, Greerton Marist host Paroa and Mount Maunganui host Rangataua.

Rotoiti will be high on confidence after defeating local rivals Whaka last weekend.

A win against Opotiki could see them join the hunt for a semifinals spot.

Te Puke Sports and Te Puna have elected to play their round 11 game tonight.

Division one (matches start at 2.45pm):

Marist St Michael's v Kahukura (Marist Park), Poroporo v Ruatoki (Tuhoe Park), Rangiuru v Katikati (Centennial Park), Waikite v Ngongotaha (Bellvue Road), Whakatane Marist v Te Teko (Rugby Park).
