Lady luck can be quite cruel.

Only a week after defeating Rotoiti by one point, Whakarewarewa have fallen to the same fate.

Whaka lost 29-28 to Greerton Marist today in Tauranga.

Meanwhile, Rotoiti have recorded their second draw of the season.

They drew at home 23-23 with Rangiuru today. Their development team also fought out a draw, 25-all against the Rangiuru development side.
