competes on July 29 heats/finals July 31. He is the winner of the Steep Creek champs in Colorado and has had strong form leading into the Olympics, making the semifinals of the canoe slalom World Cup in France.
competes on August 7. He is a double Olympic medallist winning silver in Athens and bronze in Beijing. Docherty also has a silver Commonwealth Games medal and won gold in the ITU Triathlon 2004.
competes on August 4. This is O'Donnell's first Olympics. The team made the A final at the last Olympics, finishing fifth. Individually O'Donnell is in great form leading into games, clocking a personnel best time of 50.11s for 100m this year.
competes on July 29 heats/finals August 4. Edward, and her rowing partner Louise Ayling, are the world record holders over the distance. It is the pair's first Olympics. Possibly the dark horses of the New Zealand rowing squad who could end up the golden girls.
competes on August 11. It is Hanlen's first Olympics. She is the current national and Oceania champ. The Whakatane rider has shown strong form this year winning both national and Oceania champs and had a top 10 finish in this year's opening world cup race in South Africa. Not bad for Hanlen, who bought her first bike in 2010.
competes on July 30 heats/finals August 2. It is Jones' second Olympics. She has had strong form leading into the Olympics making the semifinals of the canoe slalom World Cup in France.
competes on August 10. Walker has won the BMX world title twice and is a strong prospect to medal. However, she has been recovering from a shoulder injury but it is her second Olympics and she has the experience.
