The four semifinal spots may already be decided in the Reserves Championship.

The Rotorua/Taupo senior reserve grade competition enters into the final round today, with semifinals starting next weekend.

If the games are rained out today, Taupo Old Boys will finish top with Eastern Pirates, Bay of Plenty Indians and Geyser 1 also booking their place in the playoffs.

However, if the games are played, Eastern Pirates will have a chance to go top when they meet Old Boys at Smallbone Park.

Both clubs resurfaced this season in the reserve grade and have struck some good form in the Reserves Championship.

Old Boys are already guaranteed a home semifinal spot but will still want to finish top by beating the Pirates today.

Meanwhile, Taupo Wanderers are scheduled to host Geyser Fossils and Central will face Geyser 1 at Ray Boord Park.

Following back-to-back wins, Geyser 1 look set to finish in the top four.

However, there is a chance they could miss out if Geyser Fossils, the club's second team, defeat Wanderers by a good margin and Geyser 1 lose to Central.

Wanderers and Central cannot make the final four but will look to grab a rare win this weekend.

Reserve grade
Today's draw (games scheduled to start at 1pm):
Taupo Old Boys v Eastern Pirates, Smallbone Park; Taupo
Wanderers v Geyser Fossils, Owen Delany Park; Central v Geyser 1,
Ray Boord Park; BOP Indians bye.

Points table:
Taupo Old Boys 24, Eastern Pirates 18, BOP Indians 15, Geyser 1 12,
Geyser Fossils 6, Taupo Wanderers 6, Central 3.
