The Kia Magic have defeated the NSW Swifts 50-49 in Sydney in a nail-biting minor semifinal.

The victory means the Magic progress to the preliminary final next weekend.

Jo Harten scored the winning goal right at the death to take the victory today.

Rotorua's Sam Sinclair started for the Magic at wing defence and had a big match. It was only her third match for the franchise.
