"I love the TT-style races. It's a flat track and there aren't so many big berms to slow you down."
Cohen previously won the 8-12 years' 85cc title in 2010, while Wyatt won the 8-12 years' 85cc title in 2011 and again last season.
Also on the winners' platform, and at the other end of the age scale, at the weekend was New Plymouth's Mitch Rowe (KTM 450 SX-F).
The former NZ 500cc motocross champion won the over-35 years' veteran's category, but only after a weekend-long duel with Whakatane's Darren Capill.
There was nothing to separate the two riders when they lined up for the start of the fifth and final veterans' race of the weekend.
But Rowe was quickest out of the gate and led the all-important final race from start to finish.
He eventually claimed the veterans title from Capill by just one point.
