Rotorua's Marist St Michael's aim to continue their winning start to the Baywide Division 1 competition.
The local side travel to take on Waimana at the Waimana Domain tomorrow in the second round of the competition.
St Michael's go into the game on the back of a narrow 27-21 home win against Waikite last weekend while Waimana look to make improvement after losing 42-27 against Te Teko in their previous fixture.
St Michael's head coach Mike Lewis said he was wary of his side's opposition, who won last year's Division 2 title, and added training this week had been focused on maintaining structures.
"Our key work has been sticking to our structures and not rushing our play. We probably left 10 to 15 points out there last weekend through a lack of patience," he said.
"We don't really have a lot to go off in terms of how Waimana will play the game, so we'll be concentrating on the things that we can control and looking to play our game. Waimana isn't a club a lot of our boys have played against, so we're really looking forward to heading over there and enjoying the match and their hospitality.
"As a team we are really still getting to know our strengths as we're still so early in the season, so this weekend gives us another chance to come together and continue to learn each other and how we want to play the game this season."
