It will take a miracle for Otumoetai to avoid relegation, but Ngongotaha would do well to remember they won their first encounter only 2-0.

Having said that, it is important they take a positive attitude into the game and dominate from the kick-off.

Certainly their supporters will expect a comprehensive win Saturday.

Ngongotaha will start favourites and should end on top at Stembridge Rd.

Meanwhile, it does not get any easier for Rotorua United, who are away to Cambridge.

United lost the first encounter 5-1 and Cambridge are 12 points ahead, having played one game fewer.

Gutsy performances in their last two games produced no points and they desperately need three points from this game.

It won't help United's cause that Cambridge will have the added incentive of defending the Challenge Shield, which they recently took off Taupo.

AFC Fury were less than impressive in their last outing but they should repeat their first-round win over Melville and stay in the top three.

Tauranga Old Blues have not won a game in their last five but are still in title contention. Tomorrow the Old Blues travel to Crown Park, where the Taupo side will be seeking to turn around their disappointing season.

Whakatane Town take on Waikato Unicol at Rex Morpeth Park and after a 3-3 draw in round one, this shapes as another close encounter. In the other game, two mid-table sides, Tauranga City and Matamata Swifts, meet at Links Ave.
