The Daily Post reporter Gary Hamilton-Irvine gives his top picks for Round 9 of the NRL.

Warriors v Broncos, tomorrow:

Tough task this weekend as the Broncos' imposing forward pack continues to roll through teams, led by Ben Hannant, Petero Civoniceva, Sam Thaiday, Corey Parker and big Ben Te'o. Krisnan Inu will be dropped for this game which is a shame because he would have been in for a big game after last week's nightmare. Good news is Jacob Lillyman may return to help out outstanding prop Ben Matulino. Seriously though, what is Bill Tupou still doing on the wing? I wonder how long that try last week will buy him.

Broncos 12 under.

Eels v Bulldogs, tonight:

An outrageous 30-point comeback in 14 minutes last week against the Tigers yet the Eels still lost. Just one win now from eight games and all the statistics are against the Eels. Big dollar signing Chris Sandow looks set to be relegated to reserve grade again and the Bulldogs are hungry for a win after a great game out at ANZ Stadium against Manly last week. Ben Barba is a freak and Josh Reynolds is a star in the making.

Bulldogs 12 under.

Cowboys v Dragons, tonight:

As State of Origin casts its ever-increasing dark shadow over NSW, Dragons stars Brett Morris, Matt Cooper, Michael Weyman and Ben Creagh all have a lot to gain. I still don't think Jonathan Thurston is the same in the number 6 jersey for the Cowboys but good on him for switching to make room for superstar Cooper Cronk in the Queensland side. Should be a good game - Tariq Sims is looking good watch out for him.

Cowboys 12 under.

Titans v Tigers, tomorrow:

Apart from one scintillating try the Titans couldn't hold onto the ball last week. I look at that team and think they should simply do better but poor old coach John Cartwright ends up with his head in his hands most games. One game soon I think they will just click and I'm picking it here. Tigers are guilty of going to sleep in games and I can see them losing this one.

Titans 13-plus.

Panthers v Storm, tomorrow:

Statistic of the week time. Matthew Ridge's Manly Sea Eagles hold the record for the best start in a season, 15 straight in 1995. The Storm have a long way to go yet to beat that but if their bogey team the Warriors can't even bring that horse down, who will? Not sure even the best of games for Jennings and the Panthers is any match for the big three at the Storm. I must say I'm enjoying watching Travis Burns each week more so for the comedy of errors than his football.

Storm 13-plus.

Sea Eagles v Raiders, Sunday:

The Raiders outside backs Josh Dugan, Reece Robinson and Blake Ferguson are all freaks of our beloved game and I can see at least one kick return turning into a try this weekend. Tougher task than Manly might think here. Biggest news of the round is that Liam Foran, Kieran Foran's younger brother, has been called up to play in his big brother's position. Look out Kieran!

Sea Eagles 12 under.

Roosters v Knights, Sunday:

The Knights are just sitting pretty with a record of four wins and four losses. It seems all the pre-season hype has worn off them and once again I can see Wayne Bennett working his wee plans. They're set to fire soon and they were far too good for the Panthers last week. I can see the Roosters in a bit of trouble here. Joel Edwards is dead set my favourite redhead in the game. He is full of class.

Knights 12 under.

Rabbitohs v Sharks, Monday:

Who doubted the Sharkies, eh? Now look who is laughing. Clear third and coming off a fifth straight win, they will be tough to stop. I'm picking this as the game of the round as the Bunnies can entertain as well. Todd Carney has to be the NSW number 6 and it's going to be hard to think otherwise if he plays his part in another win here.

Sharks 12 under.
