The Daily Post reporter Gary Hamilton-Irvine gives his top picks for Round 14 of the NRL.

Panthers v Warriors, Monday

Most people will be thinking Penrith can't be under estimated after beating Manly two weeks ago. I'm hearing people say the Panthers are well rested after a break and pumped, with Ivan Cleary motivating his lads to get up against the Warriors, his old club. But I say to those people: what a load of rubbish. Just too much class stacking up against the Panthers here. Kevin Locke returns to the party and the Warriors will feel a bit hard done by not to get one over the Storm last week. I still can't take Travis Burns and Luke Walsh seriously as a halves combination for the Panthers, Shaun Johnson and James Maloney should teach them a few lessons. Three players out for the Panthers on Origin duty as well. Panthers have no chance.

Warriors 13-plus.

Origin players out: Michael Jennings, Luke Lewis and Tim Grant (Panthers).

Storm v Tigers, tonight

A success story in Melbourne has been that of centre Will Chambers, who left the club a few years ago to try his hand in rugby union before returning this year twice the player he once was. That success story has been turned on its head, with the Storm centre being ruled out indefinitely after being diagnosed with a rare blood-clotting disorder. Get well soon, Willy. Also on the game: Storm missing a lot of players and the Tigers are hot on form. Benji Marshall's boys should get up here.

Tigers 12 and under.

Origin players out: Cooper Cronk, Billy Slater and Cameron Smith (Storm); Robbie Farah (Tigers)

Knights v Raiders, tomorrow

The Raiders are in all sorts of strife at the moment, with their defence leaking like an open sunroof and their attack unable to register a point last week. No Terry Campese, who is out for the season, is a real issue for the Raiders. But this will suit the green machine who come up against a lacklustre Knights team missing two key players in Darius Boyd and Akuila Uate. Josh Dugan needs to find his feet at his new ball-playing number six position if the Raiders are to take advantage of this game.

Raiders 12 and under.

Origin players out: David Shillington (Raiders); Akuila Uate and Darius Boyd (Knights).

Sharks v Titans, Sunday

If the Sharks can get Michael Gordon to the club before the end of the season, like the Bulldogs did with Krisnan Inu, they might be in with a chance of winning the competition I reckon. Call me crazy but there is a lot to like about the Sharks ... when Paul Gallen and Todd Carney are there. Sadly their star players aren't here for this one. The Titans are showing resilience at the moment, hitting some good form with wins against the Cowboys, Sea Eagles and the Knights in recent weeks. Would be nice to see Mark Minichiello score some more tries - he only has one this season, That's a far cry from his nine tries in 2010.

Titans 13-plus.

Origin players out: Greg Bird, Nate Myles and Ashley Harrison (Titans); Paul Gallen and Todd Carney (Sharks)

Roosters v Broncos, Sunday

Hard to call this one, both teams haven't won a game in over a month. I can't even really go on the "they're due" rule here. The Broncos have got more players out so on that rather silly reasoning I will pick the Roosters. That could be my worst write-up for a game yet. Watch out for Corey Norman, who has a superb kicking game.

Roosters 12 and under.

Origin players out: Mitchell Pearce (Roosters); Justin Hodges, Petero Civoniceva, Sam Thaiday, Matt Gillett and Ben Hannant (Broncos).
