Football: United hope for return to winning ways

Following back-to-back losses, Rotorua United will look to turn their form around when they meet Matamata in the WaiBOP Premiership.

United have dropped their last two matches to Cambridge (0-4) and Otumoetai (0-3) and will be hungry for a win tomorrow at Matamata Domain.

Matamata are trailing United on the ladder but will leapfrog them if they win at home.

Rotorua United are still five points clear of the relegation zone but may start feeling the heat if they cannot turn their form around soon.

Meanwhile, Ngongotaha remain in second place and will head to Hamilton tomorrow to face Waikato Unicol.

Ngongotaha have been in good form in recent weeks and are waiting for leaders Cambridge to slip up.

Cambridge only have three games left and know if they win the remainder of their games they will win the competition.

They play fifth-placed Papamoa away from home this weekend.
