Rotorua United lifted the Challenge Shield as top teams stumbled in the latest round of the WaiBop League.
United took the WaiBop Challenge Shield when they beat AFC Fury 3-0, and with the top three teams all dropping points they are now tied for third place.
Claudelands Rovers held leaders Old Blues
to a 1-1 draw and second-placed Otumoetai went down 3-2 to Melville United.
Rotorua United and AFC Fury battled out a scoreless draw when they met at Neil Hunt Park earlier this year and after a scoreless first 45 minutes in the return match, in which the Fury goalkeeper was outstanding - the odds were on a repeat result.
It took United 25 more minutes to break the deadlock through Daniel Collier-Baker, then Steve Turner and Steve Rogers scored to make the points and the Shield safe.
Rotorua coach Neil Rush was happy with his team's performance.
"That's our fourth consecutive win and having the Shield is great."
Old Blues coach Andy Legget said his team were lucky to get away with a draw in their match against Claudelands Rovers.
"We played most of the second half in our defensive third and Rovers would have been disappointed not to have won."
Josh Taylor scored to give Old Blues a 1-0 lead at the break and although Rovers dominated the second half it took them 80 minutes to equalise.
Melville United blew Otumoetai off the park in the first quarter of the match and led 3-0 after just 20 minutes.
Darren Ward pulled a goal back in the 40th minute and Tim Miller made it 3-2 early in the second spell but although they dominated territory and possession Otumoetai couldn't breach the Melville defence.
Otumoetai coach Ross Johnson was left ruing the first 20 minutes of play.
"We just didn't turn up and we paid the price."
Tauranga Boys' College continued to move away from the relegation zone with a 2-0 win over Whakatane Town.
Division 2;
Ngongotaha defeated Katikati 4-1, Waikato Unicol beat Rotorua United 5-1 and West Hamilton beat Matamata 2-1.
